hat a busy holiday! Ten kinds of goodies:
Cookies: Gingerbread, Carmel Cream, Russian Tea, Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter, Pumpkin Bar with Cream Cheese Icing, Chocolate Cherry Bar and Kahula Buttercream Filled Cookie. Also made some Chocolate Peanut Butter Bark - delicious and easy!
Found my gingerbread village molds from the late 90's and decided to try making one of the houses. This was my first attempt at building a gingerbread house - and thought it turned half decent the first one.
Decked the halls too - and set up a village in the living room. Took a few days get everything all set up and working but so worth it. If you've been by our place - maybe you noticed the lights on our sign too!
Our village includes: two skating rinks, my favorite building - the Barley Mow Brewery along with a jeep and motorcycle in the lot, sleigh repair shop, hardware store, railway station, post office, sweet shop next to Santa's workshop, along with a corvette, a couple of deer, and a hunter in a tree stand. We got some great gifts from family and friends for holiday decorating next year.
